This blog is for an original character made for the MCU universe. Originally it was created for an Agent of Shield OC but has since been adapted for the wider universe. Oscar Isaac is the face claim used for the character. Though his face is the same, Dove has no relation to Moon Knight. This blog was originally established before Oscar's casting.Following // Unfollowing:// I look at everyone who follows me. I automatically look for your rules and about pages. Alex was born in Guatemala to Ximera and Gomez Velasco. His father was a professor of history. Gomez believed history and literature had a very close connection and was known to work works of poetry or popular literature from whatever country he was teaching into his classes. Gomez was just as devoted to Ximera as the similar named husband of the Addams family was to his wife. Alex grew up idolizing his parents and their relationship.At a young age, his parents moved with him to the United States. Alex attended college and eventually grad school and is now a college professor himself. Or at least he was before terrigenesis. Alex had just started teaching literature and was known to incorporate music into his lessons.He also was in a mostly stable relationship for one of the first times in his life. Everything had seemed to finally be adding up. He had been dating Gaby steadily for a few months when his powers emerged.A jet filled with artificially-created Terrigen Crystals fell into the sea; these crystals dissolved in the water, releasing Terrigen Mist, which contaminated the wildlife and were eventually turned into Nature Max Supplements Fish Oil pills which were distributed worldwide. Taking these pills caused other Inhumans to undergo Terrigenesis. Upon a recommendation from his girlfriend, Alex began to take the pills for his health and ended up going through terrigenesis. He has the ability to manipulate pain. Sadly when it first manifested it has shown to be more towards giving pain than taking it away.Not knowing exactly what his powers were, Alex hurt Gaby's brother in an argument when the younger man was yelling at her. Unable to stop what he had done until it was too late, Gaby's brother is currently in a mental hospital. Needless to say he and Gaby are not together anymore. Unable to control his powers in the beginning, Alex barred himself in his apartment. Quitting his job at the university, he became almost a hermit as he tried to learn how to deal with it.Eventually he was found by SHIELD and they tried to help him with his powers. Slowly he was learning how to control his newfound powers. He was making progress when SHIELD fell. He attempted to return to his former life after that with the control he had.He didn't fully returned to teaching originally. Instead he tended to do tutoring online and the occasional small concert in a bar. Though he had some control over his powers he was still weary of getting too close to people.Since gaining his powers and returning to New York he has found himself involved in the odd scuffle. He doesn't like people being picked on or attacked. Even with being afraid of his power he can't help but step in at times.Over the last few years he has discovered that while he can give and take pain he can also cross over into the world of pleasure. He hasn't mastered it yet but he is learning that the two are closely related. He just hasn't really let himself get close enough to anyone to really learn the full extent of what he can do.Lately he has more fully returned to the world of teaching, still doing the odd concert once in a while.History of Dove
Alex received his nickname of 'Dove' from his mother in what almost feels like a different time. She used to call him her little pacifist. Now a lot older (and not necessarily a whole lot wiser) he still holds that peace should be tried before war.After terrogenesis, Alex discovered he now has the power to cause pain in others. It goes against a lot of what his parents taught him growing up and what he believes in...but he isn't an idiot. Sometimes if you have a gun in your face or pointed at a loved one you need to act. So as much as he hates his powers he does try and avoid it if at all possible. Known for his aversion to violence many have begun calling him the Dove.Physical Appearance
Alex is a latino male in his 30s. He stands at 5' 9". His normal appearance consisted of professional type clothing due to his profession as a professor. He has curly black hair. He sometimes downgrades his suit jackets and slacks for a pair of jeans and tee. More often since his transformation he has worn the later. More concerned with hurting someone than his appearance his hair is a bit more unkempt along with a few days worth of stubble making an appearance at times.Abilities

Skills: Alex can play a few instruments and has a lovely singing voice. His father taught him a little bit of guitar as a child and his passion for music grew from that.Relationships
Alex has been in a number of relationships in his life. In his younger years he was known to be a bit of a player and avoided any serious attachments until Gaby. He likes the idea of one day settling down like his mom and pop but doesn't think he will ever be able to. His powers now make him very afraid to get into a serious relationship. He is afraid he might literally hurt someone by accident due to his powers not being completely under control.BONUS
Why is your URL 'curcurrucucuxdove' ?I was inspired to create this character by falling into youtube videos of Oscar Isaac singing. There is an amazing song he does a cover of with a fantastic singer named Gaby Moreno. The song was called "Cucurrucucu, Paloma". Paloma in Spanish means Dove. The 'cucurrucucu' is the sound they attribute to doves (kind of how we have cows say moo etc).A simple explaination can be found from the wiki:" 'Cucurrucucú paloma' (Spanish for Coo-coo dove) is a Mexican huapango-style song written by Tomás Méndez in 1954. The title is an onomatopeic reference to the characteristic call of the dove, which is evoked in the refrain. The lyrics allude to lovesickness. "This led to me forming the nickname of Dove to Alejandro. As you can see in his biography he suffered from a tragic accident with a woman he loved.

AGENTAlejandro was invited to join SHIELD once he'd learned how to control his powers. Through the uprising he stayed loyal to the original group and fought against HYDRA.

CODENAME: DOVE
After the fall of SHIELD, Alejandro returned to his home hoping to stay as anonymous as possible and hopefully fall off the radar of certain groups. Thing is, it's kind of hard to completely stay out of trouble when you see people suffering. Alejandro has found himself a bit like Matt Murdoc, protecting those in need when necessary. He isn't an Avenger or really a man with a purpose or message. Just a guy that keeps falling into trouble trying to help those he sees in need. He is unaffiliated with anyone and doesn't plan to be.
All while grading papers. Too bad being a vigilante doesn't really pay bills, right?

After the little incident with Void, Valentina finds Alejandro on an old SHIELD list of InHumans. With his ability to manipulate emotional pain as well as physical she brings him in to the team as a failsafe to deal with Bob.
He spends most of his time just reading or strumming on his guitar. He doesn't really like being used as a weapon against someone but if he can help Bob keep control? Well he knows a little something about losing control.
